China's manganese ore prices move up, sentiment improves

Chinese prices of manganese ore have strengthened after the Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday ended on February 17, mainly thanks to positive sentiment in the domestic market with fewer carriers arriving at China's major ports, Mysteel Global learned.
As of February 22, the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade Mn ore at North China's Tianjin port under Mysteel's assessment was at Yuan 34.5/dmtu ($4.8/dmtu) including the 13% VAT, the highest since March 6 last year after gaining Yuan 1.3/dmtu from that on February 18, the first working day
