Manganese ore prices in China remain weak, mainly due to shrinking demand from smelters easing back on their alloy output, Mysteel Global learned.

On April 7, Mysteel assessed the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade manganese ore at North China's Tianjin port at Yuan 43.2/dmtu ($6.4/dmtu) including the 13% VAT, down by Yuan 0.8/dmtu from one week earlier.
