WEEKLY: China BF mills' capacity use rises for 4th week

Over September 20-26, production among blast-furnace (BF) steel producers in China increased for the fourth consecutive week, as improved profit margins promoted some mills to resume operations from maintenance stoppages, according to Mysteel's survey.
During the latest survey period, the BF capacity utilization rate among the 247 steel producers increased by a larger 0.39 percentage point on week to reach 84.45%, though the operational rate of these mills remained unchanged on week at 78.23%.   Another four idled blast furnaces in China had been brought back on stream
