WEEKLY: Aust., Brazilian iron ore shipments rebound 3.7% WoW

The total volume of iron ore shipped to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil under Mysteel's regular tracking snapped a three-week drop and rebounded by 889,000 tonnes or 3.7% on week to reach 24.9 million tonnes during October 7-13, as ore shipments from Brazil increased significantly.

Over the latest survey period, the Brazilian iron ore dispatched worldwide from the country's nine ports reversed the prior week's slump and jumped by 2.1 million tonnes or 33.5% on week to hit 8.5 million tonnes, with the volume sent by Vale swelling by 1.4 million tonnes or 27.4%
