DAILY: China coking coal prices stay range-bound, buyers sidelined

China's coking coal market stayed range-bound on October 31, as the prevailing wait-and-see sentiment among downstream buyers continued to constrain their replenishment of the feed coal.

Mysteel's assessment of the national composite coking coal price came in at Yuan 1,507.5/tonne ($211.8/t) including the 13% VAT on Thursday, lower by Yuan 0.9/t from a day earlier. As of Thursday, coke firms and steelmakers were still delaying their coal purchases, as they preferred to wait for the new
