WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output pulls back marginally, stocks rise further

The production among Chinese iron ore mining companies ended a six-week rise and slightly retreated last week, mainly due to the maintenance stoppages among some mines in the northern and eastern regions in the country, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During March 21-27, the total output of iron ore concentrates by the 186 domestic mining companies under Mysteel's regular tracking averaged 486,900 tonnes/day, down by a small 0.3% from the previous week. During the same period, the average capacity utilization rate among these sampled mines also dipped 0.2 percentage point
