WEEKLY: China's met coal wash plants see output recover

The average operating rate of the 110 Chinese independent and affiliated coking coal wash plants under Mysteel's survey had recovered by 1.93 percentage points on week to 62.7% over April 2-8, the latest survey results show.

Domestic coking coal prices firmed during the past week, prompting some washeries to become more eager to process their coal, industry sources said, with the result that total processed coking coal production among the 110 plants had edged up by 10,350 tonnes/day on week to 528,550 t/d on average
