Land premium rates in first-tier Chinese cities hit highest this year in July

In July 2025, land markets in several of China's major cities saw a surge in activity, with record-breaking plots sold in major cities.

Despite a year-on-year decline in overall land supply, the frequent release of high-quality residential plots triggered fierce competition among developers and pushed premium rates to the highest level this year. First-tier cities stood out, highlighting a clear trend of "reduced volume, improved quality" in land supply. State-owned enterprises continued
