WEEKLY: China's met coke output retreats as profits worsen

Coke Price Production
Output of metallurgical coke among the 230 independent coke producers throughout China under Mysteel's tracking averaged 531,400 tonnes/day during September 11-17, lower by a small 1,600 t/d or 0.3% from the previous week, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
  The drop in output coincided with a decline in coke plants' profits during the survey week amid mounting coking coal costs.   As the imminent National Day holiday over October 1-8 is expected to disrupt coal transportation, many domestic coke makers had accelerated their coking coal replenishment to ensure sufficient feedstocks
