WEEKLY: China's FeSi prices fluctuate, output slows

Chinese ferrosilicon (FeSi) prices kept rangebound during October 29-November 4, with their initial rise offset by a subsequent decline as market sentiment was cooled by a retreat in FeSi futures prices, Mysteel Global has learned. Production also declined slightly during the week.

On November 4, Mysteel assessed the spot price of 75% FeSi at Yuan 5,283/tonne ($742/t) including the 13% VAT, edging down Yuan 2/t on week but falling by Yuan 50/t from the recent high recorded only a few days earlier on October 30. Prices in the derivative market lost ground
