DAILY: China's coking coal trades smooth, prices keep rising

China's coking coal transactions remained smooth on November 4, with both end-users and traders actively seeking additional cargoes amid a persistent bullish sentiment. Coking coal prices thus gained more strength to move up further, Mysteel learned.

On Tuesday, Mysteel's assessment for the national composite coking coal price rose by another Yuan 4.7/tonne ($0.7/t) from a day earlier to reach Yuan 1,375.1/t including 13% VAT, registering upticks for three consecutive weeks. Although the orange alerts for air pollution - which suggest poor air quality – recently issued
