DAILY: China's thermal coal rallies narrow as demand stays soft

The upward momentum in China's spot thermal coal market continued decreasing on November 13, with trading at northern transfer ports muted as buyers stepped back in anticipation of price corrections, market sources said.

On Thursday, Mysteel assessed 5,500 kcal/kg NAR coal at Yuan 830/tonne ($117/t), FOB northern ports with VAT, up Yuan 3/t on day. The 5,000 kcal/kg and 4,500 kcal/kg NAR grades each rose Yuan 2/t, reaching Yuan 737/t and Yuan 638/t, respectively. The Yuan 2-3/t daily gains presented a clear
