Dec propane and butane CP prices rally on improved fundamentals

Saudi Aramco lifted December's CP prices of propane and butane, marking its first increase since March 2025, amid improved fundamentals, and because the conclusion of long-term contract negotiations between Indian importers and U.S. shippers eased its suppression on CP prices. In December, propane is priced at $495/tonne, up $20/t from the previous month, and butane is priced at $485/t, a month-on-month increase of $25/t. China CBM output to up 20.1% YoY to 20 bln cubic meters in 2025

By the end of 2025, China's coalbed methane (CBM) output is expected to reach 20 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year surge of 20.1%. Benefiting from the implementation of the national strategy of reserve increase and production enhancement, the 2025 proportion of CBM output in domestic natural gas output is projected to rise by 0.84 percentage points year-on-year to 7.6%. In 2025, China's total natural gas output is expected to hit 263 billion cubic meters, with CBM output soaring to propel the overall share of unconventional gas to exceed 25%. Read Full Story

 

China Dec gasoil demand expected to fall 4% YoY

China's gasoil market is expected to see relatively balanced supply and demand in December, with production and consumption both showing contraction on a monthly and yearly basis, according to OilChem's analysis. In December, China's daily gasoil consumption is estimated at 574,200 tonnes/day in December, falling 4.09% month-on-month (MoM) and 3.58% year-on-year (YoY), says OilChem. As winter sets in, the outdoor projects will further slow in December, especially those in northern China. Besides, the demand in the agriculture, animal husbandry, and fishery sectors is in the traditional seasonal low. Read Full Story
