DAILY: Indonesian thermal coal prices steady, freight rates slide

Indonesian thermal coal prices largely held steady on December 15, though downside risks persisted amid extremely weak buying interest from China, market sources said.

On Monday, offers for January-loading Panamax cargoes of Indonesian 3,800 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal were heard around $48/tonne FOB Kalimantan.
