WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output drops, stocks grow further

Production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies thinned during the past week due to reinforced output curbs mandated by local governments in some mining regions, while the shortages of raw ore also restricted production of concs, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During December 12-18, the combined output of iron ore concs among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking averaged 447,900 tonnes/day, lower by 5,900 t/d or 1.3% on week, while the average capacity utilization rate of these companies fell by 0.8 percentage point on week to 57.3%.
