WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output rises further, stocks drop

Their positive outlook for the domestic iron ore market led Chinese iron ore mining companies to continue lifting output last week, the results of Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During March 6-12, the combined production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking increased for the second straight week by another 7,500 tonnes/day or 1.7% to reach 461,100 t/d on average, while their average capacity utilization rate climbed 1 percentage point on
