WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output, stocks both increase

Production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies rebounded last week as more miners emerged from Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday mode to begin normal operations, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During February 27-March 5, combined output of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking increased by 21,200 tonnes/day or 4.9% from the previous period over February 13-26 to reach 453,600 t/d, with their average capacity utilization rate rising 2.7 percentage points to 58.1%.
