WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output, stocks drop further

Production of iron ore concentrates by Chinese mining companies continued to decrease during January 30-February 5 as some miners conducted short-term maintenance, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

Over the latest survey period, the combined output of iron ore concs among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking fell for the second straight week by another 12,000 tonnes/day or 2.6% on week to 456,700 t/d, while their capacity utilization rate also dropped 1.5 percentage points
