WEEKLY: China's iron ore output falls further, prices weaken

Production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies continued declining during the past week as more mines halted operations to start maintenance work, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During March 27-April 2, the combined production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises nationwide under Mysteel's tracking dropped for the second straight week by another 10,700 tonnes/day or by 2.3% to average 461,400 t/d, with their average capacity utilization rate sliding 1.4 percentage points
