WEEKLY: China miners' iron ore output falls further, stocks build during holiday

Production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies continued to fall in the past week, while mine-side inventories swelled after declining for two consecutive weeks, mainly as ore trading largely stalled and ore deliveries were disrupted due to the country's National Day holiday over October 1-7, Mysteel's survey showed.

Total daily production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking averaged 443,700 tonnes/day during the latest survey period of October 2-8, down by 2,800 t/d, or 0.6%, from the previous week.
