MONTHLY: China's Dec FeSi output slips 4% MoM

China's ferrosilicon (FeSi) output declined steadily throughout December to reach 454,245 tonnes, down for the second month by 16,855 tonnes or 3.6% from November, according to Mysteel's monthly survey among the 136 Chinese smelters under its regular tracking.

The sampled smelters host 90% of China's FeSi smelting capacity. Last month, daily production among the sampled FeSi smelters reached 14,653 tonnes/day on average, falling by 1,050 t/d or 6.7% from that for November, the survey results showed.
