WEEKLY: China's FeSi prices lose ground, output recovers slightly

Chinese ferrosilicon (FeSi) prices lost ground over February 4-10, with the spot price of 75% FeSi under Mysteel's assessment standing at Yuan 5,354/tonne ($775/t) including the 13% VAT on February 10, slipping by Yuan 31/t from one week earlier.

Prices in the derivative market weakened recently, reflecting the negative sentiment in the domestic FeSi market and putting some pressure on spot prices, Mysteel Global noted. On February 10, the most-traded FeSi contract on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange for delivery in May closed the daytime trading session at Yuan 5,580/t,
