CBOT soybean futures continued to rise, primarily driven by multiple factors including active technical buying, favorable export demand prospects, and strength in soybean oil futures. In the February supply and demand report, the USDA left U.S. and Argentine soybean data unchanged but further raised its Brazilian soybean production forecast from 178 million tonnes in January to 180 million tons, exceeding the market average expectation of 179.39 million tonnes. At the same time, it increased the global soybean ending stocks by 1.1 million tonnes to 125.51 million tonnes. Although the overall data leaned bearish, market expectations had largely been priced in beforehand, and the exhaustion of bearish factors instead helped sustain the recent rebound in U.S. soybeans.
