Positive sentiment boosts China's manganese ore prices

China's manganese ore prices strengthened over February 4-10, with the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade manganese ore at North China's Tianjin port under Mysteel's assessment standing at Yuan 36.5/dmtu ($5.3/dmtu) including the 13% VAT on February 10, increasing by Yuan 0.3/dmtu on week.

Many domestic manganese ore traders are trying to raise their offering prices, as they are optimistic about the ore's price outlook after the Chinese New Year holiday (February 15-23), expecting limited manganese ore supply.
