DAILY: China's imported iron ore prices rise, trade falls

Imported Iron Ore Price Trading
Chinese prices for imported iron ore strengthened for both portside stocks and seaborne cargoes on March 17, while trading activities declined in both markets.
On Tuesday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao climbed by Yuan 3/wmt ($0.4/wmt) from Monday to Yuan 781/wmt FOT and including the 13% VAT. The same day, Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines was assessed higher by $1.3/dmt on day at $111.35/dmt CFR Qingdao.   Iron ore derivatives posted firm gains
