China's manganese ore prices strengthen further

Manganese ore prices in China continued to strengthen over March 12-18, with the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade manganese ore at North China's Tianjin port under Mysteel's assessment reaching Yuan 40/dmtu ($5.8/dmtu) including the 13% VAT on March 18, rising by Yuan 0.5/dmtu from one week earlier.

Domestic manganese ore traders are trying to raise their sales prices to offset their higher import costs with the increased offers of major overseas mines.
