China's demolition ferrous scrap recycling recovers firmly

The volume of ferrous scrap recycled from construction and demolition sites in China recovered rapidly in the past few weeks as domestic building contractors and scrap processors resumed operations after the Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday, Mysteel's latest survey results showed.

During March 14-20, the 195 Chinese steel scrap recycling companies under Mysteel's tracking collected a total of 27,028 tonnes of demolition steel scrap, rising by 5,120 tonnes or 23.3% on week.
