WEEKLY: Elevated output slackens China's coking coal market

Elevated output among domestic coking coal miners during April 2-8 further slackened the supply-demand balance in China's coking coal market, dragging coal prices lower during the week, Mysteel's latest survey found.

During the survey period, the volume of raw coking coal produced by the 523 miners under Mysteel's national survey averaged 2.03 million tonnes/day, basically flat from the 15-month high of 2.04 million t/d recorded the previous week.
