Vietnam's coal imports recover 10% MoM in March

Vietnam's coal imports in March recovered by 9.6% from February to reach 5.43 million tonnes, though the volume remained 16.7% lower than the year-ago level, according to statistics released by the Vietnam Customs on April 10.

The import value also climbed to $601.4 million, rising by 11.6% from February despite a 7.1% on-year drop. This translated into an average import price of $110.8/tonne, up by 11.5% on year and hitting the highest level since last September, Mysteel calculated based on the official data. The elevated
