WEEKLY: China's HRC output dips on week

Hot-rolled coil (HRC) production among the 37 Chinese steelmakers regularly surveyed by Mysteel dropped by 46,000 tonnes or 1.5% on week to 3.02 million tonnes during April 2-8, mainly as some mills in North China conducted brief maintenance work.

Although the average operation rate among the 37 sampled steel mills picked up by 3.13 percentage points on week to reach 79.69%, their hot coil rolling capacity utilization rate dropped by 1.18 percentage points on week to average 77.05%.
