WEEKLY: Thin profits still temper China's met coke production

China's metallurgical coke production was still capped during the past week, given the still-meagre profit margins for most producers. The relatively healthy fundamentals continued underpinning the market, with the latest price hikes expected to materialize next week.

According to Mysteel's tracking, daily met coke output of the 230 independent coke plants dropped 0.33% from a week earlier to reach 514,100 tonnes/day over April 9-15, snapping modest rises in previous weeks.
