GACC: Record Mongolian supply drives surge in China's Mar coking coal imports

China's coking coal imports from all sources during March recorded a 44.7% surge from a year earlier to reach 12.42 million tonnes, which also bounced up by 54% from a nine-month low seen in February, according to the latest statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) on April 20.

The March total of 12.42 million tonnes marks the second-highest level in China's coking coal import history, following the record high of 13.77 million tonnes imported last December, Mysteel Global observes.
