DAILY: China's thermal coal market gains steam as temperatures rise

China's thermal coal prices edged higher on April 22, supported by improving demand amid rising temperatures, although ample supply continued to cap the upside, sources said.

On Wednesday, Mysteel assessed 5,500 kcal/kg and 5,000 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal at Yuan 773/tonne ($113.2/t) and Yuan 688/t, respectively, FOB northern ports with VAT, both up Yuan 1/t on day.
