WEEKLY: China's rebar output lifts on week

Rebar output among the 137 Chinese steel mills Mysteel regularly tracks rebounded slightly during the week of April 16-22, with the production volume inching up by 0.9% or 17,900 tonnes on week to 2.15 million tonnes, according to Mysteel's latest survey results.

The higher output was evidenced by the findings of another Mysteel survey showing that the capacity utilization rate of the surveyed steelmakers had edged up by 0.4 percentage points on week to average 47.1% over the same period. Steelmakers switching some rolling mills back online is given as the main
