China responds to EU Industrial Accelerator Act, signals possible countermeasures

The EU is planning to introduce a Made in Europe First policy to prevent local production in sectors such as electric vehicles, batteries, and photovoltaics from being replaced by imports.

On April 27, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce responded, stating that the Ministry had officially submitted its comments to the European Commission on April 24, expressing China's formal position and serious concerns. The spokesperson said China believes the draft law imposes a range of restrictive requirements on foreign
