DAILY: Chinese coking coal remains resilient during holiday, yet concerns grow

The Chinese coking coal market remained resilient during the country's Labour Day holiday over May 1-5. However, concerns also grew among some participants about market trends after the holiday break, Mysteel's survey showed.

Coal supplies during the holiday remained largely stable. Apart from maintenance at a few domestic mines, most of them had retained their normal production rhythms, according to market sources. Pricing among domestic miners also showed its resilience during the break, with most miners holding prices firm at their pre-holiday levels.
