MONTHLY: China's FeSi output rose further in April

China's ferrosilicon (FeSi) production increased in April, with the total tonnage rising for the second month by 24,469 tonnes or 5.5% from March to touch a five-month high of 467,584 tonnes, according to Mysteel's monthly survey among the 136 Chinese smelters it tracks.

The sampled smelters host 90% of China's FeSi smelting capacity. On a daily basis, FeSi output among the sampled smelters averaged 15,586 tonnes/day in April, increasing by 1,292 t/d or 9% from the average for March, the findings showed.
