Manganese ore prices in China extended the downward trend during May 6-12, as spot trading activity for this ore slowed in the domestic market amid prevailing negative sentiment and weak performance in downstream alloy prices, Mysteel Global learned.
As of May 12, the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade manganese ore at North China's Tianjin port was assessed by Mysteel at a two-month low of Yuan 38.8/dmtu ($5.7/dmtu) including the 13% VAT, falling by Yuan 1.2/dmtu from April 30, the last working day before the country's May Day
