The CBOT soybean futures main contract continued to rise at settlement, briefly touching a two-month high before closing essentially flat. In April of this year, the Netherlands pointed out that shipments of four batches of Argentine soybean meal and two batches of Brazilian soybean meal contained prohibited genetically modified organisms (GMOs), leading to the withdrawal of at least three cargoes and prompting Argentina to question the Dutch testing methods.
