Billet prices in Tangshan, North China's Hebei province, edged down slightly over May 11-17 from previous highs, amid cooling market sentiment and imbalanced supply-demand fundamentals, Mysteel Global noted.
On May 17, Mysteel assessed the price of Q235 150mm square billet in Tangshan at Yuan 3,090/tonne ($454/t) EXW including the 13% VAT, down by Yuan 10/t on week.   On the supply side, steelmakers in Tangshan restarted their converters last week, and some mills ramped up their billet production amid
