DAILY: China's imported iron ore prices soften further, trading tracks apart

China's imported iron ore prices for both portside stocks and seaborne cargoes softened further on May 18, while trading activity tracked apart in the two markets.

On Monday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao was assessed lower by Yuan 7/wmt ($1/wmt) from last Friday at Yuan 780/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines dropped by $0.7/dmt from the previous working day to $110.4/dmt CFR Qingdao.
