DAILY: Chinese spot alumina prices stay flat, futures soften further

Chinese alumina prices for spot sales stayed largely flat on May 19, while those for futures contracts softened further the same day.

Mysteel's daily price assessment showed that the national average price for metallurgical-grade alumina with a minimum purity of 98.6% stood at Yuan 2,707/tonne ($397.4/t) on Tuesday, staying unchanged after a brief dip in the prior day, Mysteel Global noted.
