DAILY: China imported iron ore prices decline, trading improves

Iron Ore Price Trading
China's imported iron ore prices for both portside stocks and seaborne cargoes fell on May 21. However, trading improved across the two markets as mills hurried to seize the cheaper cargoes.
On Thursday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao was assessed at Yuan 767/wmt ($113/wmt) FOT including the 13% VAT, down by Yuan 10/wmt from the previous day. The same day, Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines dropped $2.85/dmt on day to $107.55/dmt CFR Qingdao.   Futures prices of major ferrous commodities
