On May 21, the market price of electrolytic cobalt declined Yuan 5/tonne to Yuan 425,427-428,409/tonne. In addition, the market prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride continued to remain stable at Yuan 92,000/t-95,000/t and 113,000-118,000/t respectively.Cobalt Chloride: The market was stable but showed slight weakness. Due to low purchasing willingness from downstream Co3O4 producers and insufficient demand follow-through, overall trading activity remains subdued.Cobalt Sulfate: Market prices were stuck in a stalemate consolidation phase. Although there is some support from the cost side, downstream acceptance of the current high prices is limited. The tug-of-war between buyers and sellers has led to slight easing in sporadic transaction prices.
