DAILY: China import iron ore prices largely stable, sales mixed

Chinese prices for imported iron ore remained stable for port stocks on May 27 and edged up for seaborne cargoes, while trading activity in the seaborne market cooled significantly.

On Wednesday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao was assessed at Yuan 762/wmt ($112.4/wmt) FOT including the 13% VAT, unchanged from the previous day, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines rose by a tiny $0.05/dmt on day to $106.8/dmt CFR Qingdao.
