DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices decrease significantly amid limited transactions

The seaborne iron ore index decreased on Tuesday, July 21. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 1.42% or $1.40/dmt to $97.40/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index declined by 1.66% or $1.75/dmt to $103.55/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market remained relatively limited. One parcel of IOCJ was sold at $114.40 on a 65% Fe basis, and one parcel of NF with a laycan between August 11-20 was offered at a discount of $1.20/dmt on the public platform. Tenders for IBC, SSCJ and NBL
