DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices continue to rise despite limited transactions

The seaborne iron ore index increased on Wednesday, July 15. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased by 0.40% or $0.40/dmt to $99.90/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index increased by 0.33% or $0.35/dmt to $106.30/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market remained relatively limited. One parcel of NF with a laycan between August 11-20 was sold $98.70/dmt on the public platform. And another parcel of PBF continued to appear but failed to deal. One Tender for NBL was finalized via bilateral negotiations at undisclosed prices.
