DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices edge lower amid fresh trades

Seaborne iron ore prices decreased on Thursday, July 16. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Australian Fines decreased 0.55% or $0.55/dmt to $99.35/dmt and the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 0.33% or $0.35/dmt to $105.95/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR in Qingdao.

Liquidity in the primary market was reduced, only parcel of NHGF with an August 11-20 laycan was offered at a discount of $0.50/dmt against the August 61% Fe index. Additionally, tenders of JMBF and SIMIC concentrate were sold at undisclosed prices via bilateral negotiations with miners. Demand for mainstream medium-grade
