On June 24, the market price of electrolytic cobalt declined Yuan 4,500/tonne to Yuan 371,909-375,682/tonne. Moreover, the market prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride continued to be flat at 88,000/t-92,000/t and 109,000-114,000/t respectively.The cobalt chloride and cobalt sulfate markets run weakly yesterday. On the domestic front, liquidity conditions remained tight toward the end of the half-year period, while downstream buyers in the new energy sector adopted a pronounced wait-and-see stance on procurement. Weak consumer electronics orders persisted at the end-user level, and the ongoing technology shift toward high-nickel, low-cobalt batteries continued to compress cobalt consumption per unit, weighing on demand. Traders grew more inclined to offload inventories, while downstream consumers only made small spot purchases on an as-needed basis, resulting in persistently thin trading activity.
