MYSTEEL: China's met coke prices to persist at elevated levels in H2

China's metallurgical coke market is projected to hover at elevated levels in the second half of this year, after a moderate pullback from its July peak. Although the market is gradually tilting away from tight supply-demand conditions, coke fundamentals will remain underpinned by recovering demand and firm coal input costs, Mysteel's new report for the commodity indicates.

The domestic met coke market will likely begin trending lower in the third quarter, weighed by intensifying pressure from downstream steelmakers.
